Welcome to the club

A friendly club for owners of all breeds — and all ages of dog

Malvern & District Dog Training Club has been training dogs in Worcestershire for over 60 years. We aim to maintain a friendly environment, with regular classes where owners of all breeds and ages of dog can receive the support, guidance and information they need to help their dog become a responsive, sociable and well-adjusted companion.

The Club is Royal Kennel Club registered, and takes part in the Royal Kennel Club's Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme. Our Head Trainer, Rachel, is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Classes are held at The Cube.

Puppy Classes

Puppies under 6 months 6-week courses Clicker training

Friendly, informal socialisation classes run by Rachel and the puppy team — for puppies under six months old at the start of the course. We help your puppy grow in confidence around people and other dogs, and give you the support, guidance and skills to lay the foundations of good care and good manners together. Work towards the Royal Kennel Club's Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme Puppy Foundation Assessment — perhaps your puppy's first rosette!

Please book early — don't wait until your puppy has completed their vaccinations!

Dogs over 6 months 6-week courses Beginners to Advanced

At The Cube (Malvern Youth and Community Centre). Beginners and Puppy Graduates to Advanced, including the Royal Kennel Club's Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme. Bookings per 6-week course.

The training journey

From first sit to Gold rosette

Every dog moves at its own pace — and the awards are there when you're both ready.

Beginners Loose-lead walking, coming when called, “don't touch” and good manners
Puppy Graduates & Improvers Working with distractions, control at doors and gates, grooming RKC Bronze Award
Intermediate Manners around food, vehicle control, fetch and being examined RKC Silver Award
Advanced Distance control, retrieve and off-lead heelwork RKC Gold Award
Where we train

The Cube, Malvern

Classes are held at The Cube — the Malvern Youth & Community Centre — with puppy classes on Sunday mornings and dog classes on Tuesday evenings.

Membership is per household, and class places are booked per course.
